(Shitty) Embryos Abound

The good news: We still have 15 embryos.
The bad news: They all look like shit.

I am feeling hopeless. And pissed off. And scared to death.

If there is anything decent left, we are going to transfer tomorrow.

Fuck.

Shit is right.

I am so sorry, but I'm sending you good thoughts that a few end up looking good and you go forward with the transfer.

Okay, I wasn't going to add a "but here's the bright side" bit, but my inner Polyanna has the best of me:

There are enough studies out there that say that not all of the perfect 8-cellers are good embryos and that even the ugly fragmented ones can be good; the microscope doesn't see all. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

And because lots of comments on our blogs can always cheer us up,...

...I thought I'd try to cheer you a bit.

Hang in there!

sorry you didn't have good news today. I'll be hoping that some perk up and you have a few good ones to transfer tomorrow.

Wishing a complete turnaround for many of those embryos by transfer-time. But, I will echo the others and tell you that people have gotten pregnant from crappy embryos before...

I do understand how you feel - my last cycle we only had 2 mature eggs and 1 fertilized... it was the crappiest of crap cycles. Not a hopeful feeling. But I will still have hope for you...
